All about albums!

If I have to give one bit of advice on what to do with your photos after the wedding, it will always be to PRINT THEM in an ALBUM!  There is nothing quite the same as paging through a beautiful photo album of your day. I can’t imagine having to click through 1000+ photos on the computer to relive my wedding day.  The album is the way to go friends!   It is a culmination of all the wonderful memories of the day presented in a beautiful book that tells your story.

Making an album on your own with the images from your wedding with an online lab may seem like a good idea.   The thing you have to acknowledge with these online album companies is that unless you are having a designer develop your album and are using a professional printer you will not receive anywhere close to the same quality and treatment that your beautiful photos deserve.  One of the key words that shapes my photography brand is TIMELESS, so I wanted to offer something that is going to last.   I looked long and hard for an album company and landed on Madera.  The thing that stood out to me about Madera albums was their standard of quality.  Madera albums  are gorgeous hand-crafted fine leather flush-mount books constructed from only the best quality materials and workmanship.  When I say hand-crafted, what I mean it is each album is made by skilled artisans with their hands, not by a machine!   You can check out this short clip that shows their binding process here.  I am obsessed with the high quality of these albums!

Jenni & Tyler went with a 10″ x 10″ black leather album and I think it just came our beautifully.  I just LOVE the cutout image on the cover!

Just look at how flat the pages lay!

Madera_Albums_0002.jpgEach page is made of thick, unbending cardboard (I tried to use my fingers to show just how thick these pages are.)
Madera_Albums_0003.jpgHere are a few spreads I designed for Jenni & Tyler.  You never have to worry about design.  I include full design services for each album purchased and work with you to make sure everything looks great.

I love how clean, classic, and sleek these spreads look.

Albums come with 15 pages (30 sides) and are available as 10” x 10” or 12” x 12” sizes.  Additional pages can always be added.

They also include custom imprinting on the spine and cover  – here is the cover imprinting.  I love how this looks! Madera_Albums_0007.jpg
The next set of albums were for Ashley & Michael.  They also went with the classic black leather 10″ x 10″ option and opted to order two parent albums as well.  Parent albums are the perfect gifts to present to the parents of the couple after the wedding!  They are available as 8” x 8” – here they are on top of the couple’s album.

Each parent album is a  clone of the bride and groom’s book with the family photo spread updated to the couples preference.

Here are a few design spreads from Ashley & Michael’s album:
Madera_Albums_0012.jpgSee the gap between the pages?  I didn’t think so. One of the great qualities of these albums are how THIN the crease line is!

They had their wedding date imprinted on the side of the album.

Each main album comes in a heavy duty protective case

They make it super easy to remove the book from the case with no fingerprints :)
