Today I am thrilled to share Alison and Max’s John James Audubon Center at Millgrove Wedding. This was one of those weddings that I truly had difficulty narrowing down into a single blog post (it’s a long one friends!) I had such a wonderful time getting to know Alison and Max better before their wedding during their Central Park engagement near where they live. The smiles these two have when they are near each other are contagious! Their wedding day was a perfect summer day in July and they chose to get married in the orchard with their reception in the beautiful pavilion. The reception simply stunning for with design by Clover Event Design Co. Here are a few of my favorites from their day!
His ability to make me laugh even in the most serious of times.
Her sense of adventure.
The first look and then the few minutes we will have alone between the ceremony and cocktail hour. After that, the dance floor!
Max and I met in New York City in 2010 through a mutual friend. We both lived in Stuyvesant Town, an area of Manhattan, so we only lived about 2 blocks from each other. After hanging out in group settings a few times, it was clear we got along very well and a romance started.
The John James Audubon Center gave us the perfect combination of natural, gorgeous grounds but with a refined element of the restored barn and pavilion.
A few things come to mind. “Natural Elegance”, “Rustic chic”, light airy colors, a summery relaxed feel, lots of dancing, and great food.
