It’s here! After 2 ½ months of hard work by Grit & Wit design the new Adrienne Matz Photography is live! I cannot thank Ann at Grit & Wit enough for the beautiful work she did on my site and blog.  She really got to know me and my brand direction and designed something that I am absolutely in love with!

A little background on the branding. This is the first time I have been officially branded. Previously, I worked with someone to create my old logo and then designed the rest of my site either by myself or with a template. It worked for awhile, but over the past 3 years I really have grown out of the brand I had created when I was first starting my business. This has involved a lot of soul searching and bumps along the road, but I finally have an understanding of what the vision is Adrienne Matz Photography. I knew I had to hire someone great to get this all across and have a beautiful polished look. That’s where Grit & Wit came in! Her design process started with in-depth worksheets that made me look even deeper into my business and understand the big picture for what I wanted my brand to look like. It was through these worksheets that a light went off in my head! Above all else I wanted to get across that I am creating images that express the feeling of genuine LOVE. Images that are elegant, romantic, and timeless.

Once we had that direction, I had a few things that I really wanted (or didn’t want!) as a part of the design:

•  A memorable first impression that got across that I am creating images that express the feeling of genuine LOVE, with the ultimate goal of the viewer feeling loved when they visit the site
• A black and white classic logo
• A clean, clear, classic, and elegant design (just like my photos!)
• Minimal script lettering (simply because I have difficulty reading some script fonts)
• I wanted the potential client to see that I offer a great experience
• I wanted full screen images on the home page
• I wanted it to feel authentic to me and my style, and not like i’m chasing trends or being generic
• I wanted to somehow get across that I have all the great qualities of a professional and the warm qualities of a friend
•  And lastly, I wanted to keep the focus solely on wedding photography

After that Ann got busy with the inspiration board – nailed it!!

Then lots and lots of hard work on the brand itself and the website design. Let me just say, I am SO glad I hired someone to do this and it was WORTH IT! My heart is so full! I am in love with her work and it is so great to have an online presence that really feels like me. Check out the WEBSITE here! Here are a few screenshots from the site.

I always had the vision of having an entry page with this photo on it. There is something about it that ties all of the elements of my brand together. We came up with the tagline “Simply Love” which really fits my creative philosophy and I love that it’s front and center first thing you see when you enter the site.

This is the homepage for the site! Let me just talk about a few things here. I LOVE my logo. It is simple and cosmopolitan. My favorite part – the M inside the A! I think i’m going to use it everywhere ;) Do you see it at the bottom of the site too in the black circle? So perfect! The color palette we decided on was a simple black, gray, and blush. I think these colors work so well with my images and just add to that clean, classic design.

This is the experience page, I just want to point out the numerals here, love these!

I have always wanted to add a favorite things area of my website so that clients can learn a little more about me :)

Lastly, I just want to thank my husband. He has been my sounding board through this whole process and has always been willing to help. He has an eye for this kind of thing and has helped me way more than I could have dreamed. Even questions like, which shade of blush do you like best?! haha Thank you love for always supporting this dream of mine :)
